FOUNDATION

In 1996, God used Evangelist Evie Buffin to invite Bishop Roscoe Williams to speak at her church, Alpha & Omega C.O.G.I.C, and later expressed to him that she felt God wanted him to become their Pastor. Indeed, the Lord did speak to Bishop Williams in prayer and informed him of an unfinished work in Oak Cliff and that he must go to finish it.

In March 1997, Bishop Williams began pastoring Alpha and Omega C.O.G.I.C with only four members. One Sunday morning while preaching, God began to prophesy through him about some new land and growth in the ministry. Several years later, Bishop Williams was led to some land on South R.L. Thornton Frwy., which he, his Pastor, and several members had walked upon over 20 years ago claiming this land for God’s kingdom. After meeting with the owner of the land, Mr. Harold Jones agreed to sell the land under one condition…. That Bishop Williams built a church on it.

In 1999, Alpha and Omega Ministries Inc. was formed by Bishop Roscoe Williams and continued to operate it its original storefront location at 4488 S. Marsalis Avenue in the Glendale Shopping Center. After several years, the church began to outgrow the tiny storefront facility. In August 2003, God spoke to Bishop Williams in prayer one night and said it was time to “possess the land and build me a sanctuary.” At God’s command, Bishop Williams began to rally the people and stir up their spirits to believe God and enter the Promise Land. Surely as God spoke, He brought it to PASS!!!!!
